Our Mission:
At Guardians Defense, our mission is to empower individuals seeking personal protection through responsible gun ownership. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive knowledge and a personalized training regimen to ensure safe and effective use of firearms. Recognizing that the true measure of preparedness lies in training done right, we reject the notion that 'practice makes perfect.' Instead, we emphasize that 'practice makes permanent.' If you practice wrong, your practice will fail you and your loved ones when it is needed most. We believe that proper education goes beyond mere practice – it's about instilling correct techniques, fostering muscle memory, and promoting a commitment to safety.
Our ultimate goal is that, through responsible gun ownership and education, the need for self-defense never arises. However, should that moment come, we strive to ensure our clients are equipped with the skills and mindset needed to respond effectively, with confidence and competence, to protect themselves and their loved ones.
Courses Offered:
Don't Be A Victim
Our goal is to “not be a victim” and/or easy target for a criminal. Be the “Wrong” person, not the “Right” person for a criminal to target. This class will provide information on how to “Not Be A Victim” in your everyday life, in public and at home. These things are never full-proof, but they will help you to reduce your risk of being a victim. This course is great for everyone, including teenagers.
This course includes:
• Knowledge of Situational Awareness.
• Actions to reduce risk of becoming a target in public and at home.
• Home security measures.
Handgun Self Defense Fundamentals
In this Handgun Self Defense Fundamentals, instructed by a USCCA Instructor, you will learn the safety related to firearms, basics of a handgun, and proper defensive shooting fundamentals with said handgun.
This course includes:
• Self-defense firearms basics – universal safety rules, types of handguns, etc.
• Defensive Shooting Fundamentals – proper grip, stance, defensive shooting vs marksmanship.
• Gear and gadgets – holsters, tactical flashlights, safes and cases.
Intro to Handguns and Safety
The Handguns 101 course is designed capture the students’ interest and alleviate their concerns about firearms. This is for the beginner that has a peaked interest and is considering purchasing or has purchased a firearm for home defense and possibly concealed carry option.
This course includes:
• The Universal Safety Rules – pertaining to all firearms.
• Understanding the actions of a handgun – how it functions.
• Understanding types of handguns – semi-automatic and revolvers
• Understanding ammunition.
• Determining which handgun is right for you.
Additional topics may include an introduction to home defense shotguns and rifles as well as other use of force alternatives. After completing is course you will have a basic understanding of firearms and safety related to firearms.
This course is offered in two parts
*Online E-Learning
*Proficiency Qualification.
The e-learning will be completed at home at your own pace and convenience. Once you have successfully passed the e-learning, you will then attend the live-fire Proficiency Qualification on the date you selected during your registration.
Texas License to Carry Course
This course provides the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) required classroom training and firearm qualification students need in order to obtain a Texas License to Carry a Handgun (LTC).
This course will include:
• Laws that relate to weapons and to the use of deadly force.
• Handgun use and safety – use of restraint holsters properly secure concealed and openly carried handguns.
• Non-Violent dispute resolution.
• Proper storage practices for handguns – emphasis on eliminating accidental injury to a child.
• Written examination on your comprehension of the material.
• Live fire proficiency demonstration.
Basic proficiency with a handgun is a prerequisite for this course. This course is not intended to train students on how to properly handle a handgun. The qualification test portion of the course is required by the State of Texas in order to demonstrate your ability to safely and properly handle and shoot a handgun.
Specialty Courses:
Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals:
The "Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals Course," is a comprehensive seminar for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self defense. The class is a non-shooting class and is approx 7 hours long. This course advances the mindset for the responsible defensive firearms owner by focusing on and understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; handgun & shotgun basics; shooting fundamentals; the Physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of the use of deadly force, including knowing what to do in the aftermath and much more.
Countering the Mass Shooter Threat:
Countering the Mass Shooter Threat is a comprehensive course for every house of worship, school, business, and family in America. We will review the data of 48 mass shootings to determine what can be learned from these tragedies and how following a comprehensive plan can help you to not only avoid becoming a victim but eliminates the presence of these shooters once and for all. We will cover topics that include Create an Emergency Operations Plan, Know the Signs, Know Your Attacker, and Debunk Common Myths.

About Our Instructors
Chris:
Chris is a father of 4 and a grandfather of 2. Chris is also a six year veteran of the US Marine Corps where he served overseas in Iraq. He obtained Expert Marksman during this time in the Corps. Chris is a Certified Firearms Instructor with the USCCA as well as a LTC Instructor through the State of Texas. The 2nd amendment is something he believes strongly in but has a desire that all do so safely and responsibly.
Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends, Shooting at the Range, riding motorcycles, and serving on the Media Team at his church.
William:
William is an Ordained Pastor at his local church where he and his wife have attended for over 25yrs. He is a father of 3 boys and a grandfather to 2 grand-daughters. William is a Certified Firearms Instructor with the USCCA as well as a LTC Instructor through the State of Texas. God and family are the 2 most important things to him. That is why he dedicates himself to the training of others.
Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends, Disc Golf, Shooting at the range, Riding Motorcycles, and serving as Associate Pastor at his church.
